It’s called lunchtime legends for a reason.
We defined lunchtime legends with an end to our Netball season that will echo throughout the ages.
We finished the regular season in 4th place, meaning we just scraped through to the finals. Although the most challenging task lay ahead as we came up against the minor premiers who were undefeated all season. It was a tough match but we saved our best performance of the season for this match.
The grand final was one of those epic battles that went down to the wire.
With the score level at full-time, we regrouped in the break and came out strong in extra time. We got out in front with a couple of quick goals then defended well to hold on and win.
We probably weren’t the most skillful team in the competition but we showed up each week, supported each other, and most of all communicated well.
There’s no question that team sport here at Bravure is good for us physically but after playing these few seasons together you can see the impact it makes on our day-to-day. How we communicate in the office and how we support each other in our work.
We’re looking forward to our next Lunchtime Legends competition … and will never forget Mixed Netball in September 2022.
